Become a Coach or Volunteer and Make a Difference

NEW VOLUNTEERS

In order to volunteer, you must have completed a volunteer application and submitted and approved background check. Please do these two steps first! Next, you will be invited to our Coach/Volunteer Orientation – February 20th, 2020 from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Location TBD.

The First Tee of Idaho is about so much more than golf – it’s about strengthening our community. And you can help, whether you play golf or not. You only need to enjoy working with young people, and have a willingness and ability to serve as a positive role model of mature, responsible behavior to our participants.

The First Tee of Idaho needs volunteers throughout the year to help with our fundraising events, including our annual Swing Fore The Kid’s Golf Tournament, Nine Wine and Dine, and other various opportunities throughout the year.

The volunteer application process has three elements that must be completed in this order.

STEP 1

Complete the Volunteer Application.

STEP 2

Our Philosophy

Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn’t happen. At The First Tee, we take coaching seriously. We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program.

“Young people don’t care what a coach knows until they know a coach cares.”

As you consider volunteering for our chapter, know that the safety of our kids is our first priority.  Please read our Prevention Policies to see how we conduct programs and activities at our chapter.
